Established in 1995, Computech International (CTI) is a comprehensive technology solutions provider delivering high-quality, managed solutions for government, education, and commercial enterprises. CTI has become a significant supplier of ruggedized computers and accessories to the military. Twenty-five years in, CTI has recently relocated to Woodbury, New York, and is searching for a full—time Business Developer Director who will be a part of our growing operations. The position is on-site in Woodbury, New York.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide overall direction on sales and business development activities for defense products and special systems for military platforms within North America & Israel, while working in close cooperation with business partners. This includes combat-proven military vehicles, platforms and complex systems for the military market, Ground Control Systems (GCS), and Ruggedized Vehicle Docking Stations (RVDS) for vehicles and unmanned systems.
- Develop the necessary network within all relevant OEMs, vehicle manufacturers, and government institutions (TACOM, TARDEC, IMoD, MANTAK, RAPAT) and promote CTI’s capabilities, footprint, and product portfolio with all relevant markets.
- Analyze and structure accessible U.S. defense market for current and future CTI product and services portfolio. Support and review market analyses to determine customer needs. Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
- Provide and create ongoing input to Global Product Line Management on the military market trends regarding technology and market needs. Make recommendations for developing product line, business plan strategies and opportunities for the automotive market to establish a competitive advantage in the North American & Israeli Defense market.
- Develop quotes for complex and intra-divisional customer-specific solutions and systems. Evaluation and monitoring of all relevant RFP / RFQ from initiation up to a valid contract.
- Direct sales forecasting activities, sales volume, potential sales, lost sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion and set performance goals accordingly.
- Plan, exercise, and present CTI at all relevant defense industry events, trade shows and symposiums.
- Meet with key clients, assisting Key Account Managers with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Management, Business administration, economics or related or foreign degree equivalent plus 2 years of full-time experience in a position managing marketing and business development activities in the defense industry, developing necessary networks and relationships with relevant OEMs, evaluation and monitoring of RFP/RFQ from initiation to contract.
Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business administration, economics, or related or foreign degree equivalent plus 5 years of full-time progressively responsible experience managing marketing and business development activities in the defense industry, developing necessary networks and relationships with relevant OEMs, evaluation and monitoring of RFP/RFQ from initiation to contract. Telecommuting may be allowed.
